Hello everyone, hoping someone could provide some insight into a proposed build, scandalously, I havn't upgraded in about 4/5 years, my 8800gts finally packed in a year ago and this is me finally getting round to getting a new rig.

Already got peripherals etc, using an Antec900, assuming I can just swap out most of the hardware. Skipped on the 16gb RAM because it's out of stock, can always add more later (works out at around £20 more expensive but hey).

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3330 3.00GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £149.99
1 x KFA2 GeForce GTX 650Ti EX OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £101.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £82.99
1 x Kingston 120GB SSDNow V300 Drive SATA 6Gb/s 3 2.5" (7mm height) Solid State Hard Drive - (SV300S37A/120G) £76.99
1 x XFX Pro 850W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £74.99
1 x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU) £53.99
1 x Akasa SSD & HDD adapter 2.5" - AK-HDA-03 £2.99
Total : £555.92 (includes shipping : £10.00).

Rusty as hell with speccing and stuff, any input is appriciated, used ocuk for like 5+ years and I trust y'alls judgement!

Cheers!

Wow, thanks for so many responses guys;

I suppose on instinct I tend to go nvidia because they've served me well in the past, but the MSI card has a 3 year warranty which is sweet. I quite like acme's build, trying to collate all the information you've posted, ready to take my first foray into AMD/ATI, gotta take advantage of the price points, probably going to sack the SSD for a month or two to cut costs, unfortunately need to buy Win7 too.

A thousand thank yous to all contributors = )
