When finishing uni, how did you look for a job? At the moment I browse these sites daily:

www.cwjobs.co.uk
www.jobserve.co.uk
www.monster.co.uk
www.reed.co.uk

and I also check:

www.nhs.jobs.uk
www.totaljobs.co.uk

I also check the local council's website and occasionally I check places like BT.

Is there much more that I could do or am I covering most of the bases?

I have had a fair bit of interest but it always ends the same - me not having enough experience (well I have none in IT support).

I had a phone interview last week. Basically the guy wanted someone with 1-5 years experience, but had never considered a graduated.

He went on to sympathize with me over the experience thing. He said he had worked on a building site for a year after finishing uni. He also said that he liked me and wanted to bring me in for a face to face interview. I was also told that they would give me a verdict on the day of the interview.

During the phone interview he mentioned that the only reason he had phoned was because of my CV.

Anyway, I went in. I spoke to him for 40 minutes then he left the room for 10 minutes. Another guy (head tech) came in and asked me loads of questions. He told me that he was impressed and he even joked that people with more experience & jobs under their belt had got some of them wrong. He then said:

"Well you've impressed me & given me something to think about. The question now is do I have the time to train you? We had to restart the interview process for a various reasons and we're getting some people back for second interviews. We'll get in touch soon."

I was quite shocked as the other dude had told me that I'd be given a verdict there and then. Over a week or 2 on and I've heard nothing :(
