I am happy with my desktop, 2 years old and still playing games at full spec!

But now I am in a position where night shift = anything I want!
And what I want is to play a few games and get paid for it :P

At home I play bad company 2, l4d2, WoW, css, tf2, mw2 anything that catches my fancy really.

What I am looking for is a laptop that can keep up with these games and maybe some future titles.

I have had a look but mobile graphics confuse me a little :( can someone suggest a few laptops to look at?

Even just a price range would be nice :)

I would recommend you post this in the dedicated laptop section as you may fet a better response there. Maybe a mod could move it for you.

I would recommend you spending in the region of £1500-2000 on a laptop. I would say a 15"+ screen, 5870M or 480 gtx mobile video cards and at least a i5 or maybe even a i7 mobile chip. Hope this helps :)

I say between the £1200 to £2000 price range, if your budget can't stretch that much then maybe look at the Acer laptops which are quite cheap and probably run most of the games you mentioned at decent frame rates.

If you can stetch to over £1200 then look at the following:

Alienware MX17 about £1600 has an 17" screen there also the cheaper 15" version
Take a look at the Rock laptops which range between £1500 - £2500

Some others:
Toshiba Portégé R700-155
iBuypower 17" laptops range between £600 - £1700
HP Envy 17-1000 Notebook PC series or HP Envy 14-1000 Notebook PC series

Yep agree with the above posters if you start looking at laptops in the sub £1000 range you are going to take a huge hit in performance.

Check out some of the alienware specs and then try and match them and find something cheaper, should be a good starting point
