Hi, I'm looking to purchase a laptop for around £500-£1000.
The laptop will be used for the following:
I did come across this but I just don't know much about laptops. Only ever had a macbook other than desktops and it's now taken its toll.
What are others thoughts on this? Second and third link jumps out to me because of i7.

I have a desktop windows pc which I built myself so i wonder would it be better to build the laptop myself or would there not be much cost saving? Im going to use Windows on this laptop.
The laptop will be used for the following:
- Adobe design (illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Sometimes simulatenousy running all 3.
- Playing 4k videos (UHD rips) plugged into my 4k TV. PLEASE NOTE DO NOT NEED 4K LAPTOP SCREEN, ONLY FOR PLUG AND PLAY 4K VIDEOS ON TV. Not sure what the laptop requires for this?My current macbook pro 2011 cannot output 4k. Video continuously lags when trying to play.
- Gaming is not really needed.
- will also be using it at corporate events so something light and sleek when folded would be ideal but not required.
