Hi,

I am looking for a large >19" monitor for a special device in our work. It's very bespoke (Siemens Gamma Camera) and the linux program it runs is "square" visually. We need to overlay acetates onto it and draw on them for records. Long story short, it needs to be 4:3. Really struggling to find a big 4:3 monitor.

Off the wall suggestion, but since it's on your office's bill - considered a second hand Cintiq 21ux?

21" 1600x1200, designed to be drawn on so easily positioned for tracing onto your acetates - and a nice hard surface.

There aren't many panels being made above 19" that are still 4:3 (or 5:4). I think one of the panel manufacturers makes a 23.1" panel which is 1600x1200, and is mostly used for marine applications.
You might be able to get one of these, and ask for it to have some toughened glass on the front that would then allow you to draw over it (don't use a pen on a normal panel as you will mark/damage the LCD).
Google '23.1" monitor'.

Have you looked at Eizo monitors? They have a 21.3" (1600x1200) monitor and a 26.5" (1920x1920) monitor in their range.

I believe they have 5:4 monitors in their medical / industrial ranges too.
