Hello, my friend is looking to buy a gaming pc In order to run games like battlefield 4, and dayz for example.

Preferably pre built as my friend fears he may go wrong down the line.

Starting from scratch, nothing higher than £700.

Thank you.

Here are to self-build options that by some coincidence come to exactly the same price. So you have superior CPU plus inferior GPU, or inferior CPU plus superior GPU. For a gaming PC, smart money is on the latter (which, to be clear, is the AMD build below). I would highly recommend he build it himself, as you get more value for your money - and at ths budget level that's very important. I had a little play with the online configurator, but the best I could do was a 6300 plus 270X build - which would be noticeably inferior to the two below.

Intel self-build:

Come to think of it - when you say he's 'starting from scratch', does that mean he also needs a monitor and peripherals?

I think Fulax has offered up the best options. I was going to suggest an fx6300 config with an SSD, but I think his options with the FX8320 probably make more sense over all.
