Here's what i'm rolling with now.

I5-2500k
MSI Twin Frozr III 6950 2gb
P8Z68-V mobo
Antec 620W PSU

Bought my old gaming rig back in 2012 I guess, showing it's age now but it still handles itself well.

Anyway, I'm looking to get another year's life out of it, and it appears the graphics card is holding me back.
Most future titles have it under their minimum requirements now and AMD deemed it to legacy status last month. Also it has graphical glitches in The Division which make it unplayable.

Looking for something that'll get me into this year's titles at medium settings, or if i'm lucky next years too.

if your budget is within 250£ get an R9 390, if the budget is lower wait up a bit and save up for the next generation graphics coming this june.

Hmmm preferably lower. I am only hoping to get another year or two tops out of this setup before just outright buying a whole new system.

if 2nd hand doesnt bother you, pick up a 280X or 290( not reference ), you also can pick a new 380 for like 150£, anything lower than this wont be really a performance upgarde.
but as i said the 390 is the one that most likely would last you 2 years with failry good gaming experience, and it's price is way to close to other mid range cards wich is 150-200£, the value from the extra 50£ is massive, so again if you dont have the budget yet you can save up for the next couple months then buy a polaris card coming out in june, but if you cannot wait, the above is the options i see, and you probably can find a good deal for about 100£ with 2nd hand cards.

I have a perfectly good Asus GTX960 4GB card. And I have tested 'The Division' game in 4K with it. It handles it surprisingly well. Only thing is, that I want to sell the card with my present motherboard, ram, cpu, cpu cooler. Everything, accept Case, PSU, and Drives. See my hardware spec below. In case you or anyone are interested. Live in SE London.

I wouldnt promote the sale of personal items outside of the MM if i were you.

With only 11 posts he probably doesnt know this. Lion go read the FAQs as I believe you are breaking forum rules at the moment by advertising your gear in this thread.

I was encouraged to join the forums by Overclockers and they DID say that it was a place where I could sell my second hand PC stuff? I know you should not use the forums for business use, I am NOT a business. I don't understand what the fuss is about helping those ones who don't have a lot to spend on PC stuff. What comes around goes around. It would make more business sense and increase new sales for Overclockers if they did allow personal selling of older PC stuff. I do NOT understand this ruling! However, as you have made me aware I will abide to this rule and have removed this thread and for enigma 27 to remove my quote.

If you're only aiming at medium settings, then that makes the choices a bit cheaper. Best value for money right now is the R9 390/GTX970 range of cards, but they go for £250+. They will do max settings and should last a while though.

Considering the lower aim at medium settings, the R9 380 is best at the <£200 price point. Sound and temperatures depend on OP's preferences. Good brands I'd recommend include EVGA, Gigabyte, Asus and MSI Gaming.

However... new cards come in possibly just 2 months from now and there's at least going to be a good option for a situation like this. I'm not quite sure how well Polaris 11 will perform as the known next-gen budget card, but rumours suggest that Polaris 10 will be replacing the R9 380 with a piece of hardware that performs at least as well as an R9 390. Now if the rumour isn't nonsense... it's something worth waiting for.

My final recommendation is to wait a couple months, if the new cards aren't too good, at least current cards might get a price drop. Now I'm getting de ja vu from last year.
