Looking for a good network card to pick up my router
My MB is Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 and it hasn't got the built in network card.
Thanks.

FYI, when I was looking for a new network card many people recommended to me that USB devices are worth looking into as you can 'orientate' them to a better level on your desk (rather than hidden on the floor), and you can direct them in a direction towards your router.

Using this information I've always bought USB devices for my connection since. I used to have terrible problems with network PCI cards which have been completely eradicated since!

You haven't stated the type of wireless protocol you're using / router speed / router brand or price range. So it's difficult to recommend much, but based on my previous comments something like this is what I mean. I hope that helps.

Thanks Hectic, yes, your right, I should have said what I want to use it with. BtHub2 and/or a Netgear router.
When I had my netgear running/installed on my main PC and looked for wireless networks using my other PC, I was getting a stronger signal from my neighbours BTHub (70%)than I was getting from my netgear 50%ish, but then if my neighbours hub was closer thats no real surprise. I decided to try the Hub2 and now I'm getting a stronger signal 80%, just by changing the router.
Thats why I wanted a good network card but if the USB device works better, thats good enough for me, that does help and thanks for the link.
It was the Netgear DG834PN I was using BTW

Thanks, I didn't notice, I don't have this MB install yet, deciding if I want to get a new case and PSU or take out my old MB and fit the new one and keep what i have.

So would this MB let me connect wireless to my router.

Nope. It has wired network cards, not wireless looking at the site posted.

You would need to install a wireless network card. As mentioned above you cang get better signal by orientating the antennae in relation to the signal. so either a USB adapter or an internal card that supports free standing arials.
