Looking for new case, mobo and CPU

I am looking for the cheapest case really, I have a 8800 GTX so I need to fit that in there, and a 600w PSU. But I just need a simple case that won't cost me a lot of money.

On top of that I need a new motherboard and a decent processor to go with it. The motherboard has to be PCI-E obviously and support DD2 RAM. Other than that, it doesn't matter much as long as it works with the processor.

Any suggestions? I don't really want to spend more than £200 at most.

Competitor.

I know you're looking for a cheap case, but it's not an area you should scrimp on. Good quality build, less cut fingers, components fitting properly, no vibrations are just four reasons why a case can last a couple of builds.

a poor case with bad cooling will have serious repurcusions and could cost you more money in the future than perhaps forking a tiny bit more on a good case that will last.

The £11 that that case costs will show. I have bought a case once for £14 and my god it was the worst case I have ever seen. It looked cheaper than that. The Alu was thin and the whole thing was terrible. I just didnt trust the PC in there at all. (Not for me I might add . . . ). I just binned it. OcUK Has some cheap cases and the likes of the Asus and Gigabyte ones will do you fine. Yes its £30, but its a better choice than the £11 one.

Re;

Thanks for the advice guys, I will go for a better case.

Any advice on a decent motherboard/cpu combo? I can spend up to sort of £150-170 and it's for gaming and media and all sorts.

Re:

I have:

No motherboard
No CPU
NVidia 8800 GTX Ultra
4gb DDR2 RAM (not sure about the details, but I'm keeping it anyway)
600W PSU
No case
2 500gb SATA HDDs

All the basic stuff like DVD drive, monitor, keyboard, mouse etc etc.

Just really need the mobo, CPU and case.

+1 for an Antect Three Hundred. Absaloutely amazing case for the price, very easy to set-up. You must buy 2 extra 120mm fans, and possibly look at an extra fan for the side part of the case (although not needed).

Edit: look at the E4800 and Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L (although only has one PCI-E slot). So maybe the Asus P45?

Not really bothered about SLI. That seems perfect though. Cheers guys.

no problem. Just a bit of advice, or a problem I ran in2 :P. Found it a bit fiddly to install the mobo when the PSU was in. After I took it out it was easy to fit the mobo in.

Re:

I spoke to someone yesterday and they recommended paying a bit more to get the P45 motherboard, instead of the P35. What do you guys think?
