I want a new Game.

What i'm Looking For:
I want a Good Real Time RPG with good story, Med evil Even better

Games played i liked
Witcher 3 - Over 400 Hours (still doing another play through)
Shadow of Mordor - 100 hours+

Thoughts
I was tempted by Mass Effect Andromedia,

However generally i hate space Genres in TV/Games
Star trek/Star Wars all seem overly cheesy, bit like the CSI of the space world.

I quite enjoyed Dragon Age: Inquisition. Although some of the optional activities are very grindy like an MMO. Skyrim is obviously a classic, and there are so many mods available for it.

sorry forgot to add that i hated it. All Bethesda games have a weird floatly like feeling when you walk where you don't feel like your touching the ground so i cannot play it.

same with Dues Ex Revolution, You don't touch the ground...

it does not feel like your in control Or get any response from your actions

Metal gear solid the phantom pain is quiet good. Original mass effect trilogy and andromeda (I know some people not a fan of the latter but I throughly enjoyed it). If you like the shadow of mordor combat style, the Arkham series is a good shout also.

will try out the andromedia trial, but i found Batman terrible games, combat was ok but the rest not very interesting

Depends how far back you are willing to go, but other than Witcher trilogy, some of the best RPGs ever made are Fallout 1/2/New Vegas, Vampire Bloodlines, Gothic 1/2, Mass Effect original trilogy, Deus Ex, Divinity 2, KOTOR 2.

cant play any Skyrim/fallout or Deus game, their engine for movement is awful it always feels like your floating.

just tried ME Andromeda not impressed in the slightest....

check the rest of your list now.

Imagine dismissing the best RPG ever made because it 'feels like you're floating'

It's first person, I have no idea what you're talking about :D

Skyrim, best rpg ever made? lol got to be kidding. from hours i played with it. combat is erh & cameras even worse. the camera stopped me playing it entirely

when you move in Skyrim/Deus ex you have no response or feeling your touching ground you cannot feel your feet. you do not get any response that you moved, just that the camera has move.

Skyrim/DuesEX feel like your in free-cam mode. not like your moving a real human. theirs no weight/responsive behind it.

however you try Overwatch/CSS/Witcher 3/even GTA (first person) you can instantly feel the interaction with the ground & response from your action.

Was talking about Deus Ex actually (the clue being I said it was first person) :p I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about, I've played a lot of first person games and Deus Ex feels just like them, no more or less floaty. Do you want the camera to shake about as you walk or something?

Floating camera:
instant movement, no respect for ground changes & very fast jagged actions. its just like your moving the camera not a real person. its not gradual when you start to walk, you walk at full speed right away.
all this makes it feel like just a floating camera flying through an area not in control of a human
4:08 onwards is perfect example

Bad example but its ok for this:[/B]
you can see that your walking & feel that your walking/running, the movement is gradual as you walk, you feel that your walking & running its not instant moving you gradually turn around.
5:08 onwards

That is genuinely the weirdest complaint I've ever seen about a game. You can walk in Deus Ex, it changes as he runs, it changes as he walks up and down stairs. Hell it even goes into third person view for a lot of things.
its not the that you cannot walk its the way you walk. if you stood still and then walk your instantly at full speed with no responsive with all other games listed you slowly get to walking speed & you feel the responsive from the ground. when rotating you gradually turn in other games in Dues ex & Skyrim its like your get:
Frame 1 & 10 but not frame 2-9. your in one location then instantly in the next.

All Bethesda games are like this As is Dues Ex to some extent. To me their Camera Simulators not A real Game experience.
I kind of understand where OP is coming from. But yea, it's a bit of a weird complaint. I'd suggest dark souls series
.
has Dark souls changed since the original? when i played the original combat mechanics were a bit odd to say the least

But you're fine being able to walk around carrying ten guns and pulling them out of nowhere...

It's like saying you won't play half life because he pulls a gun out instantly rather than it taking a realistic amount of time.
its not realism, its the feel. with dues ex & skyrim it feels like your watching through a camera not like your the person in control. thats my point

with dues ex you could watch via twitch and get the exact same feeling, nothing

Well except for the part about not being able to move around, yes it's exactly the same watching through twitch as playing...

I'm not sure who you think is in control if you aren't. I press forwards I move forward, I press jump, I jump.

your not understanding my point, your looking at it too literally. when you press forward you move forward yes, but you don't FEEL like your doing it. the camera just moves with no response or feedback to you that you personally walked their. no feedback from footsteps or vibration. when you move in skyrim you Always move the same distance every time you press W

Skyrim
you Press W and you go from 0 Meters to 0.5M every time. with no foot feedback or slight speed up

GTA/Witcher
you press W and you go from 0 Metres to 0.2M on your first step then speed up to walking speed to the next press of W you move from 0.2 to 0.5 Meters.

Skyrim/Dues EX is like old games Your either Walking or not your not ON/OFF

GTA/Witcher/Overwatch
Your not much more control & feedback & the gradual curve.

Either way if you can understand that, then im sorry for you. Agnes understand from my first point.

currently looking into Divinity sin & dark souls

I get what you mean but considering you've sunk 400 hours into a game with probably the worst feeling movement animations, terrain response, horse handling and combat of all the games I've played lately, is this really that much of a problem? I'm replaying it now but after Horizon it just feels like an ambitious indie game in this regard.

I think you'd be able to look past such problems in other games after a while. If not, then there aren't many games I can suggest as Dark Souls 3 doesn't have brilliant feeling movement either and you've already dismissed Mass Effect and Deus Ex.

the standard movement mode on Witcher i agree. Alternative is fast responsive & gives perfect feedback.

i tried Mass Effect trial put in 3 Hours. I didn't like the combat, the movement mechanics were not to bad. i hated the control scheme & the bullet sponges of the enemies

have you played dragon age: origins??

still by far the best and closest to what you like imo.

dragons dogma was an ok action rpg but i found it very limited in its combat.
yeh i own it played it for about 7 hours, i didn't like controlling multiple characters & the it was not that enjoyable either.

Have you tried VR Smogsy? Admittedly its not for everyone (some people get motion sickness or have trouble with the images) and it'll be a while before we see a full AAAAAAA game but its on its way.

The travel in various games is limited (walk forward and you either hit your window/radiator/wall or fall over face first which is why its teleport style at the moment) but at least when you turn around, its you moving at your own speed. Some great games out there and the immersion is very impressive.

VR Wise No, But i only have this issue with anything bethesda make & oddly dues ex.
think its partly down to No feedback
partly not seeing your hands in some areas in Dues Ex

to me its like i'm watching some one else play through a camera.

Again it's taking it far back but you could try the baldurs gate games?
do not think its for me as your got control multiple Characters from the look of it
