Hi all,

In the middle of upgrading my gaming PC and wanted a new case, currently I have an Antec 900 gaming case and wanted something similar. I have looked at the 902 version but it does not seem the same quality as my 900. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

+1 for the R2. Personally I am a sucker for Lian Li. the consistently make some of the best mid sizes cases out there and the build quality is exceptional.

Thanks a lot for you quick advice guys, I have already had the pc built but looking to change the case and PSU as I am not happy with them. I don't have a set limit to spend, I would like something of good/great quality similar in design to the Antec 902.

The PC I have is a gaming PC - I7 Haswell OC to 4.3 GHz, GTX 580TC Gigabyte, ASUS savertooth MB, Ideally I'd like a fairly quiet case with optional speed adjusters for the fans unless the MB will control them?

I've been looking through all the cases on offer for Mid towers and come up with the following:

I really am tempted by the Cooler Master with a few fan tweaks (add a 200ml fan to the top and exchange the front 200 ml for 2 smaller fans with blue leds)

Thoughts? Would this case be loud as in fan noise?

I got the original midi and can't justify changing it anytime soon. Removed the hard drive cages and got a side window for it. I think its nearly perfect. Very quiet case considering its got open top.

Much prefer the corsair cases to cooler master. Cooler master is decent though too.

If I was buying a case now, the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe would be my choice. Not quite out yet though.

If you're looking at the 400R, I'd suggest the 500R instead.
About the same price and size, but the 500 has more fans included and slightly better features all round.

Larger fans turn slower to move more air and so are quieter.
If noise is an issue for you, stick with the big fans. Also be aware that half your noise will be the air moving through fan grilles and meshes anyway.

Thanks for the responses, probably gonna stick with the Cool Master as I think it looks a bit more slick then the Corsairs I listed. I will probably just add a 200 ml fan to the top to keep noise down. Am told the fans are controlled through the mb so I don't need to feel I am missing the manual speed controls.
