Hey all so very recently I upgraded my GPU finally to the INNO3D RTX 3080 Ti X4, I am currently running an old set of 24" dual monitor setup Samsungs only 60 refresh rate so am being held back majorly but they have served me well.

So I'm a little restricted on desk space my current two 24" monitors are a perfect fit wish I could fit a set of two 27" 1440p but just too tight especially with my Razer Nommo Speakers on either side wish I thought about the height when I bought them but anyways they do give some excellent sound.

If I am going ultrawide though see some monitors support a nice Picture side by side option to replicate dual screens.

So I have a few options been looking at ASUS ROG Strik XG43VQ 43" read some good things but it's 3840x1200 so not exactly 1440p and not sure how compatible this will be as a resolution in-game but still gives me that X2 24" monitor experience, unfortunately, the availability is really bad unless I want to pay way over the MSRP.

The other option is to go with a 3440x1440 34" ultrawide I know this is the best performance to value option but I feel that will be losing a fair bit of real estate.

Then there is 3840x1600 38" This seems a nice size and some beautiful monitors but I think with 1440p going to get them max settings on new releases for the foreseeable future.

What would you do? How much if any screen space would you sacrifice? 1440p or 4K resolution? Fewer fps or more? and what is best as a future proof option?

I'm looking to spend max around the £1000 would be nice to have a monitor Arm included in this also.

Thank you.

Want restart this thread time to get a new monitor due to not being able fit a 49 inch thinking 38 inch was looking at Alienware AW3821DW seems to be a fantastic monitor a bit over my budget of £1000 but I would have stretched for this unfortunately it does not support PIcture in Picture or Picture by Picture for me this is not a problem but the misses likes to dual screen and wanted to make it easy for her.

Any other suggestions?

Well after more research and thought about losing extra desktop space and functionality of dual screen support I realised I can just about fit x2 27" none ultrawide 1440p monitors the LG 27GP850 seems a good value monitor and at current pricing, this would allow the cost of X2 plus a dual bracket and a monitor calibration colour tool.

What are your thoughts on this monitor at the current date?

Thanks
