Hey guys I've owned my trusty Sony Bravia 40v4000 for over 8 years now and while it's still going strong and the picture still looks great I'm thinking it's about time I upgraded to something a bit more modern and less chunky looking.

I'm not looking to spend an absolute fortune as ideally at some point in the not too distant future OLED will be more affordable.

I've been looking on Richer Sounds, 6 year warranty sounds nice and from what I've read many here have positive experiences with them. I have a local Currys which could be useful for a demo but I'm reluctant to buy anything from there. Currys Team Knowhow or whatever they call themselves are an absolute joke.

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations in the £5-600 price range?

Ideally I'd be looking for 55" 4K but since the budget isn't huge I'm prepared to compromise a bit. Refurbished could be an option but that could be a terrible idea? I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any. Maybe the budget is too tight?

Currently a panasonic 58ex700b for under £500 On their refurbished site with 12 months warranty

Generally seems to have good user reviews this. Looks bit of a bargain for the price.

I did read some comments about issues with hdmi arc with sound equipment. Might be worth looking in to a bit more if this is an essential feature!

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Quite like the look of this one. The stand maybe not so much but it does seem to get good reviews.

Can you still see this deal? I’ve had a look but can’t find it.
