Bigger box!
Hi all,

currently have a 37 druid, resto spec. Can't think of the server name off the top of my head.

anyway, the problem i'm having is that when i fancy an instance i sit in the lfg list forever before i find a group and they're often kids from denmark!

what i'm after is a very busy server so there will be plenty of people looking to do instances and maybe a guild too. Oh, and a predominantly english speaking server too!

i understand most guilds take the game very seriously. Well i'm afraid i don't. I'm a 27 year old bloke who enjoys the game but i've never done (or would know how to do) a raid. I just like to play two or three times a week and get a few instances in too. I'm always happy to help out if it's required of me.....

apologies for bad spelling or grammar, done this on my phone!!
cheers if you can help :)

forget raids concentrate on getting to lvl 70 and do battleground and arenas for pvp gear.

raid for casual's doesnt work imo all u do is spend time getting gear thats only useful inside an instance 99% of your time is probably spent wandering around so ** more likely to get jumped by players in pvp gear.

although if your on a pve server then its a different story!

your only 37 tho the funs in pvp imo being casual killing horde ;)

That's complete rubbish. I've never had pvp gear and I very rarely get jumped by alliance.

You will probably struggle now to find any server where there are a lot of people who want to do lower end instances, as most people who play have at least one 70 and high level friends who take them through to avoid pickup groups. Unfortunately my server is a really low population one, so I can't recommend it to someone who wants to get groups :(.

Im on Ragnaros, its a PvP server but it seems pretty nice for PvE, low and high level. I'm more of a PvP player myself, though.

Good choice on a Druid, one of the most fun classes to play I think. I have one myself but it is feral.

You haven't really said what you want with respect to PvP and if you want to start a new character on a different server. There is a character transfer service (15 quid), but you can't transfer to the busiest servers, so that idea might be a non-starter unless you want to create a brand new character from level 1. This won't be such an issue as of today, since the new patch improves the levelling process immensely.

Also you mention you want a predominately English server, but I suspect that applies to most of them. The trouble is that there are only dedicated servers for the French, Germans and recently Spanish. Consequently you get people from everywhere else in Europe on all the other servers and there seems to be a lot of Danish people playing. They invariably speak excellent English - I guess you've been unlucky with them. It's not normally a problem.

Maybe the best thing to do is to go to your realm forums on the WoW boards, post up that you're a casual player looking for a mature guild to do a few instance runs and level up. See what invites you get. It's my experience that the the guilds filled with the nicest people tend to only group with people in their own guild as they're guaranteed a good playing experience. This leaves you with a larger chance of encountering dross if you're unguilded.

Finally, drop Resto and spec Feral. You may love healing, but it will be awful for levelling, whilst Feral makes levelling extremely easy and you'll still be in high demand as a bear tank.
