Hi, ive just moved into a new flat and im currently with octopus energy. My energy bills are sky high, and tbf its a listed building with no double glazing, but after a while of seeing the smart meter display climb higher and higher i started rationing - wouldnt turn the boiler on unless i absolutly needed a shower, had the radiators only just on and stuck another jumper on, and to top it off i was avoiding making food that required lengthy use of the hob (everything in the flat is electric, no gas). Despite all of this my usage still continued to climb :/ ive now started shopping around to see if switching could ease the strain abit, one thats looking good is 'Fuse Energy' their quite new but get great reviews - one thing i did notice was that on the trust pilot reviews of them, everyone who mentions the installing engineer names as chris, and chris the engineer is named no less than 18 times on the first page ! the only time another engineer is mentioned is when 'chris and tony' installed my smart meter! im i over thinking it or is that very fishy?!?
sorry for the ramble but id really appreciate any opinions from anyone who has experience of Fuse Energy.
Many thanks,
josh.

Switched to Fuse variable early this year.
No problem with their minimalist app-only approach. Nice app, with usage charts.
Later switched to their fixed 1 year contract in app, again very smooth.

As far as switching went, already have a smart meter so no engineer was needed, its all virtual
They offer cheapest prices, but only by a hair. I suspect you can find very similar deals with Octopus or others.

Unless you are on a time of use tariff, pretty much everyone changes the same.

I’d be more concerned that you are seeming not using any energy and yet generating large bills. Moving supplier isn’t going to solve that problem.

P.S. Octopus are fine, and are definitely one of the least bad suppliers.

what octopus tariff are you on?? could save money switching to the tracker tariff??

@Higgins9488, you’re with Octopus and have a smart meter. Go onto their website, login and they have an area called “Explore my energy use”. If you are feeding data through half hourly, you’ll be able to see how much you’re using and whether there are any peaks. Is it your electricity or gas that costs a lot? And is a lot £30 a month or £200?
