I'm going to upgrade my NSLu2 to a FAT Slug configuration FattenYourSlug . Only problem is that it needs PC133 Ram and I don't seem to have any in my stack of old useless computer bits. To make matters worse the chips on the stick of ram need to be 32Mx16 chips. I believe these are the chips that live on 512MB sticks with 8 chips on board.

Does anyone have any of these sticks lying around or would anyone know where I might be able to pick some up from? Online retailers unfortunately tell you how the individual chips are configured on their ram.

Thanks

Russell

I've got two sticks of PC133 labelled H-SD64M you can have for the postage. I think they're 64MB each, 8 chips on each side.

thelonecrouton @ gmail.com if you think they might be of use.

Thanks Crouton,

I think the max i could get from them would be 16 or 32 MB. I'm really hoping to go for the max addressable 256MB in 4 chips but thank you very mch for taking the time to respond.

I've ordered a new HDD so hopefully a bit of swap file moving will improve the situation before i have to get medieval with the molten lead. Been practicing soldering surface mount chips just in case.
