Looking for recommendations for simulation games like guild 3 or Mafia type

I'm looking for a medieval style simulator game. I've recently come across Saelig and the Guild III but don't know what else is in the market.

I'm also interested in Mafia simulation games. Has anything good come out in the last few years?

I want something that focuses on business and reputation mechanics with freedom of play style.

Gangsters Organized Crime would be fun if I could get it to start in Windows 10.

Hmmmmm, Kingdom Come Deliverance could be an option...

If not, going off the above titles, you could try the new Age of Empires remakes?

Gangsters Organised Crime will run in a virtual machine within Windows 10 if you have a copy of Windows XP kicking about. I used VirtualBox. The mouse cursor can be a bit funky with the default VirtualBox config, but one of the settings within VirtualBox can sort this out. Can't remember which off the top of my head ATM, I remember it was a bit of a trial and error session.

Omerta - City of Gangsters, but this was very average.

Empire of Sin was just announced at E3

for medieval, there are classics like Age of empires and Stronghold

All of those are more strategy games than simulations though. Maybe Banished? Not really medieval, but a good old timey town builder.

Empire of Sin looks the closest.
I want a management style simulator where I can run my own business and take over the area.
