Currently have a Lian Li O Dynamic & love it.
the trouble is now ive gone back to air cooling (due to AIO being far too loud) my coooler no longer fits.

so i need a case that can fit my NH-U14S TR4-SP3/eatx motherboard

Requirements
  • FIT E-ATX (zenith Extreme)
  • Slient Type case
  • Good Cooling (need to cool 2950x+ 3080Ti (currently 1080ti)
  • Minimal looking
  • small as possible and still fit E-ATX case
  • dont really need SSD/HDD slots as i have gone all m.2 (got 7)

been looking at
  • fractel design R7 XL (as i have an R6)
  • bequiet slient series
  • are their any other good options?

I have the silent base 900 rev 2 and find it to be a good case overall. There's plenty of flexibility in how to configure the interior, so all cages can be removed if you don't need them etc. I have a NH-D14 installed in there which is fine, although if you have to move a 140mm fan higher up the cooler to provide clearance for the RAM, you're going to be close to the glass.

Everything is reasonably silent in desktop usage, with the front door closed and fan profiles adjusted accordingly. I've then installed three additional fans at the top of the case which are set so they only come on when the temperature gets to a certain level, which in practice is only when gaming. If you open the front door too, that helps as well - of course the noise increases as bit but I assume that's not an issue when gaming.

My only criticism of the case is that the build quality isn't quite what I would expect from such an expensive case. The PSU shroud is easily bent, the threading of the screws is a bit dodgy and the front door needs to be pushed at the top and bottom to open and close properly rather than just being able to push in the middle.
