Looking for screen capture program?

I friend told me about one that you can actually simply drag your mouse over the specific area that you want to capture and then it saves it automatically to jpg; rather than saving to do print screen, paste into paint and then crop any ideas?

Lol windows has a tool already, ill give that a try for a while if not then then try to other suggestions. Thanks guys
