I have two 980s overclocked to the moon and want to get the best out of them.

The swift would be amazing but at that price theres just no way.

Is there anything else out there worth my money around 300ish. Am a hardcore gamer.

Indeed, I just got one of those, and am very pleased with it. Once you rule out the swift for its price (and the number of issues people seem to be having with it), my research pointed to it being the best g-sync currently available. My early thoughts on it are here.

Buys 2 980s. Runs 1080p. :(

It's the equivalent of putting ditchfinders on your Ferrari. For all that horsepower there's still only 4 bits touching the road.

Sell a 980 and buy the swift.

Heh, missed the 2x980 bit. It is a bit overkill for 1080p!

There is always the 28" 4k Acer g-sync monitor. Also expensive (not as much so as the Swift mind) but has some decent reviews and will push those 980s.

My 295x2 couldnt run 4k at a decent rate i do not expect two 980s to be that great. As far as i see it 4k gaming is still a while away.

As for 1080 with two 980s why overkill? I can run games that will hammer those 980s overlocked down to 60fps with AA and things like supersampling or upscaling. No such thing as overkill!

That 144mhz sounds good to me though, might grab it.

Well, if you don't want 4k but do want g-sync, then the AOC G2460PG is the go-to option once you rule out the Swift.

I am still really pleased with mine. As I reported in my thread, the viewing angles aren't brilliant, but PCM2, who knows far more about these things than I do, suggested this is an issue common to most 120Hz+ TN panels.

The colours are perhaps a little over-saturated for my tastes, but this can actually look a bit better and more vivid in games (the only time I notice it as a detriment is with skin tone in photos).

The contrast seems really good. Been playing around with some test images, and it is definitely better than my last screen overall, if tending a little bit towards brighter shades and over-saturation at times. Excellent bright whites, though, and lots of detail in dark scenes. Very much liking the impact of g-sync too.

Hey, Techen, I guess you've got your monitor now? Perhaps you can clear up a little question for me?

There's what looks like a little green LED towards the bottom left. My guess would be that this is supposed to light up to show that g-sync is active or something, but mine has never come on. I haven't run enough tests yet to know if g-sync works well for me (and no games that will likely have a very variable frame-rate) so just wanted to check. Does that LED on yours light up under any circumstances? I can't find a manual for this monitor to check the specs.

It's a window where the 'i-Care' ambient light sensor goes on models that share the chassis and actually have that feature to use. ;)
