Our capacity manager is looking to streamline the way we gather data. What I need is a tool that can report back space usage for specific folders (eg program files\SQL server) and generate a csv file as part of a batch job that can be scheduled to run every week. It would be even better if it could export into SQL database.

Doesn't have to be free but the cheaper the better

i'm having some trouble with the syntax

I just want it to report usage for particular folders. But it appears to be insisting on the switch for reporting folders over a specific size.

i want it to report the usage of all sub folders, not just ones over xx size ?

What OS is the server running on? I use Storage Reports Management on Server 2008/R2 quite a bit and it's actually quite handy!

Other than that, there's Treesize Pro (not sure if that will schedule reports though).

I've tried our servers and don't think either are configured. We've got server 2003 R2 and server 2008 Standard SP2.

The servers i'm looking to report on, are our database servers. I need to specifically count the disk usage by SQL server and its various directories only. Even though they are only running server 2008 standard, we've got them configured with the max 36gb of RAM. Think standard was chosen over enterprise for cost reasons ?

I'm trying to find something to actually generate the reports for my boss to make a good impression. I can recommend stuff like this, but it will need to go through change approval. And with the stuff thats going on at the moment my suggestion will just get put in a pile and get forgotten about.
