Trying to put together a small computer just to basically act as small media server for music mainly, trying to keep it low powered and quiet. Would this be a good setup?

Zotac Ion Intel Atom N230 Mini-ITX DDR2 Motherboard (IONITX-B-E)
Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (WD10EADS)
In-Win BM639 Mini-ITX Case - Black (120W PSU)
Samsung SN-S083A/BEBE DVD±RW SATA Slimline Drive - OEM
Corsair XMS2 DHX 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 TwinX Dual Channel

Also seen this case which is quite nice but unsure if it would get too hot

What do think?

Well the spec you have above should be fine for a media server, I have an atom based server and it does the job perfectly.

Thanks, just come across another motherboard which may suit me better, any one have any experience with it?

Intel Atom - D945GSEJT

Uses atom 270 and is supposedly very energy efficient comes with its own power supply too. So now just got to find a suitable case but they all come with a power supply, but I suppose I could just remove whatever is in the case.

Seems a perfect setup for what you want to do, keep us posted with pics and how you set it up when you get it :)

My only reserveration about that would be the Cupid case only having one 3 1/2 drive. This might limit you a bit in the future if you plan on adding extra storage to the machine.
