Looking for some advice

Im wanting to give my pc abit of an upgrade, I plan to buy a new pc at the end of the year.
So I only really want to spend £300ish for now which will probably just get me 1 piece

I _think_ a graphics or cpu upgrade would be best, maybe you can tell me completly different I dont know.

Im going to be playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 most of the time, and apparently that game runs super with Quad core.

My pc spec atm is:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.17ghz
4GB DDR2 800mhz
ATi Radeon HD4870 1gb

What would be the biggest upgrade for me,

Graphic card upgrade from 4870 to 5850

Trust me that game will run fine on your system. Save your money and wait until the end of the year for a new pc.

Any Intel 775 CPU coolers that are recommended for frequent heavy CPU use over long periods of time etc?
So many to choose from I am clueless!

Was explained the difference between the Q9650 and Q9550 and recommended to buy a Q9550 due to BC2 performing much better on quad cores.
So Ive ordered the Q9550
