This is where it's at for me these days. I got the game Saturday night and am loving it.
Good Points.
1. Great handling cars that are very instinctive.
2. Large online Active community.
3. Brilliant Desktop interface storing every mile/lap you do plus many other excellent features such as Skin uploader, news, chat.
4. J-peg skins make skinning childs play and they all work and are auto uploaded and seen by all or uploaded via Desktop.
5. Very lite on your system making online play consistant with minimal spikes bugs and other dodgey business.
6. Cheap 24 quid in my opinion is cheap.
7. Speccing the races is also great fun and where the wise learn there lines.
8. Demo is online playable with a choice of 3 cars.
Bad points.
1. Game interface is not all that instinctive but then that may just be me.
Having a friendly community soon sorted that out though with a few questions in pits and whilst spectating. (No.7)
Other Racing games.
1. RFactor. Top game great handling but sorting the right mod for the right track and then finding a non passworded server with racers on is a Chore.
I play this game with my team and with the right cars/tracks and racers its unbeleivably realistic.
2. Richard Burns Rally. Best rally game of all time No doubt. Nuff said.
3. GTLegends. Good game with good cars and excellent tracks. Load up and play simple as. Downside of this is to many idiot rammers have there hands on it and online is like banger racing. Shame as the cars and tracks are lovely.
4. GTR. Still has many people online and now patched to 1.5 is quite drivable. Excellent cars that look and sound totally awesome but this is hardcore and finicky. The cars are meant to be hard to handle but with Simbins crap coding and the bugz they are nigh on impossible to control for most.
Once again you need the right opponents to have a good race.
