Hi guys,

I'm after a pair of headphones to use on my way to work on the tube and the odd flight.

I don't have a big budget for these, perhaps around the £50 mark. I would like good isolation and noise cancellation, perhaps a push at this budget! As for the type of music I listen to, John Mayer, Kaiser Chiefs, Muse etc etc.

I've been looking at the GOLDRING NS1000 - these look a bit chunky, perhaps something like the Sony MDRNC7B (noise isolation seems an issue with these)?

THanks

I'm in the same boat as OP. Same budget and after something not bulky which will keep most outside sounds out (i understand for total quiet, you would need noise cancelling ones)

so bump!

I've currently got some AKG k450, they're very nice, in build and sound quality. The only thing I'm a little worried about is the cable, it feels abit thin and weedy, but it is detachable and replaceable for free within the warranty

For sound quality, noise cancellation and cost. They are almost unbeatable I'd say. I'm sure there are other decent headphones available, but I'd doubt you will get anything that sounds as good for £50-£60.
