Hi all,

I bought the following computer from overclockers many, many moons ago: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/tita...40ghz-ddr3-quad-core-gaming-pc-fs-179-oe.html The only difference is my motherboard is a Z68AP-D3 Gigabyte.

When I first had the machine back in 2012 I experienced issues with boot-looping. I soon found out the way of fixing that was removing the CMOS battery for 2 minutes and placing firmly back in. I believe this resets the bios? I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, from then on I haven't really touched this computer much, but I've blown the dust off and started again.

I've been using the fail safe bios defaults, so my machine wouldn't go back into the loop. However, these days I've started to get more into gaming and I want to optimise the bugger like it's meant to be optimised - at 4.4GHZ.

Would someone be kind enough to run me through what settings I need to input into my bios to achieve this, please? Obviously I want the computer to be stable, too. I'd be so bloody appreciative. As I was just thinking of taking the hit and buying a new bundle (motherboard and CPU already OCed), as I recently bought a: MSI Radeon R9 390 Gaming Edition 8192MB GDDR5. I don't want to waste my money if my computer is perfectly capable of OCing, though.

Thanks guys, hopefully you are still with me.

Also, might be worth noting that the settings I was emailed many moons ago did not work, they again sent my computer into. a Reboot loop - please note I did not update the bios though, as I'm not sure how to actually do that. Here is what OC sent:

Dear Bradley Wills,

Firstly wll the system has no overclock i would recommend putting the latest BIOS on to avoid the sleep mode issue again and then put the following settings into the BIOS:

M/B Intelligent Tweaker

Advanced Frequency Settings - 44x
CPU Ratio - 44x
Advanced CPU Core Features - Press Enter
Internal CPU PLL Overvoltage - Enabled
Real Time Ratio Change in O/S - Enabled
Press Esc
System Memory Multiplier - 16.00
Press Esc

Avanced Memory Settings - Press Enter
Performance Enhance - Standard
Channel A - Press Enter
9-9-9-28 - then command rate 2n
Press Esc

Advanced Voltage Settings - Press Enter
Load-line Calibration - Enabled
Dynamic Vcore - +0.050v
Dram Voltage - 1560v

Regards,

Rob Gould
