for my record player , going through a onkyo 9010 amp , need about a 2/3 meter cable . not interested in wireless (bluetooth) not sure if you can get wi-fi ones ?

As above, HD 650s would likely suit.

Shameless plug, but I've put a pair of headphones on the MM that would suit you (a little over budget, but could work out a deal).

they look nice ! when you say "deal" what are you thinking ? like a pound a week or something , ill take a look at the spec tonight

are higher end £300 +(i know they go into £ks) headphones amp dependent ? meaning would they still work well going through a budget amp ? cheers

For at home vinyl listening, I would look at a pair of Grado SR80s. They've got a lovely open and transparent sound that'll really shine for home listening.

They are open headphones though, so leak sound, and don't isolate much...the build quality is a bit weird, but sound wise, for proper at home listening, I'd go Grado every time.
