Hi folks,

I;m looking for some PC speakers to replace my Logitech Z533 which have stopped working.

Not looking for something that breaks the bank, but something of similar quality.

Just for some light gaming.

Any recommendations welcome.

With thanks.

Giving us a budget and whether or not you're limited by size would be very helpful.

I'd recommend a pair of decent bookshelf speakers and a mini amp, or failing that some good entry level active bookshelf speakers such as something from the Edifier range.

For example:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £96.05 (includes delivery: £11.10)

Thanks very much. About £100 would be good - not hugely limited by size!

The Edifier R1600T aren't bad at all for £85.

Another option would be something along the lines of some Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's and a Lepy Mini AMP, the 9.1's would be superior but I've no idea what sort of price you'd be looking at right now.

Lots of options
9.1s are about £120, but the 9.0 are half that and should be fine too, you can also get Tibo Harmony 4's for £50 at the moment (down from 120)

If you wanted something that didn't require an amp the Edifiers are pretty tempting, but could also check out Presonus Eris 3.5 or M-Audio BX3 - They're both reference monitors so would have a more flat (accurate, but not as bassy) response. The presonus especially seem very well regarded and there are a few people on here using them (I think I saw them mentioned in the Dell OLED monitor thread)
If you'd consider second hand, in my home office I'm running a pair of KEF egg satellites on a mini amp and got a set of 5 for just over £40 at auction, granted they're a bit aesthetically shabby but they sound great for most things at medium volumes!
