Looking for some sort of data inputting software

So I work as a "Data Clerk" for an accounts firm my job is quite repetitive and I was wondering is there was some sort of marco or anything where i could take lots of data in bulk then have it put online?

So I input Invoices mainly and they all get posted on a online system through the web

would it be possible to take a excell and put data onto that then have it read the excell and post it online?

if not ohh well il just do the same old thing

I'd imagine you could export as an XML or CSV file and the coders of the website setup an import CSV / XML function for you.
