I have an old landcruiser that is my main driver due to work but there are many days when i dont need an offroad. Landcruiser uses a lot of fuel so im looking at picking up something a little more sensible..but not boring :o a little bit of oomph would be nice.

Been looking at the e39 v8 alpina for example..but there arent too many for sale. Also thought of the MB CLS maybe. However, for my price range, they would be relatively old. Is there anything newer I can get for my budget? would love some suggestions from you guys.

Open to diesels too..and autos, in fact i prefer modern autos.

yep..but they are so lovely.

what would you recommend in the world of bmw for that price range?

I dont have much experience with mercs other than cls and an ancient estate.

What are you driving now? I remember you buying your mondeo back in the day :o god time flies.
