I currently have a samsung SA27950D monitor and its fantastic but I want to go to a multiple monitor setup. Would it be best to keep the samsung and try to get another for a dual monitor setup bearing in mind because of the design of the sammy adding another would be difficult or selling it and getting something else?

Im not sure if you can do dual monitor setup or wether it would need three ideally I think id like 2 x 27" standing tall.

Can anyone give me some advice and maybe some choices to make it alittle easier please. Im abit of a noob when it comes to multiple monitor setups.

As for amount of monitors... A reason gamers often choose 3 is because if you run a game across 2, is that your crosshair or whatever is in the center, will be cut up by the monitor bezels.
If you play games where you like to have a browser open, or other stuff that is not in the game, 2 screens can be nice, and don't really need to be the the same type, as I understand it.

But I bet some peeps more in the know will answer soon :)

Yeah dual monitors is useless for multi-monitor gaming. Your center point is right smack in the middle of the bezels.

If you just want a second monitor for other stuff then you're free to get whatever, can be a different resolution, refresh rate.. it all doesn't matter, it will work.
