Hi all.

I have the Value Primo system from OcUK but didn't add the GC option when I ordered it due to not really playing games. However, now I am back into WoW and even though the on-board Graphics work ok with the game I prefer a little more clarity and higher resolutions.

I have not got a huge budget it will be around £50 - £80 at the most. So anything that will play WoW at 1920x1080 with good frame rates and a little bling on the graphics side of things. Not looking for Crysis spec.:p

Cheers for any help you can give me.

New or second hand. As long as it works and does what I want it to do.

Edit: Just looked at the HD5770 on OcUK and that seems a good card and judging by the reviews it would run WoW with ease as its been mentioned it runs MW pretty much with everything set to high.

The 5830 is probably your best option, but if it is stretching your budget too much then there is usually a 5770 or 2 knocking around the MM for around £50-£60.:)

And there is a Bgrade in the clearance section for £70

Hi there, may I ask which particular Primo model you went for or can you see what PSU is the make and model of PSU installed in the PC?

I ask because some of these Primo systems use cheap, low power, low quality PSUs - these PSUs are fine for the systems as specified (usually with integrated graphics) - but if you add in a 130W+ graphics card like the HD 5830 (or even the 108W 5770) then this may max out the PSU and make it fall over. That said, some of the primo systems use decent PSUs (like the OCZ stealthXtreme2) so it all depends on which model primo you went for.

Its the Primo Drone and the psu is an ocuk value atx-500 500W. If that helps.

Edit: I do have my old Tagan TG480-U01 480W which has lots of power leads.

Ah.

In that case I would strongly suggest upgrading the PSU before installing a proper graphics card.

I would suggest this PSU at the very least.

As for a GPU, this one is indeed a great deal, but if you have a lower budget then I would suggest a second-hand GTX 260 or HD 4870/4890 as the gaming performance of new cards falls off a cliff after you go below £70.
