I just bought the new 8700k and is looking to overclock it. My current case is corsair 400q and im not looking to upgrade it if possible. The airflow should be good enough right?. My question now is, what should i do for cpu cooling? My target for overclocking is around 4.9 ghz.

Atm, im leaing towards getting noctua NH-D15(I know there a cheaper options for air coolers, but this is what im going for), and 1 or 2 new coolers to the case. Should i consider going for liquid cooling? I dont wanna mess with custom cooling solutions. So should I choose something like H115i, H150i or x62 over the d15? And are these solutions even a good choice?

Cheers

the unit and fan will clear the ram just fine, whats the issue if having to raise the fan to go over the ram- might not allow your case panel to close.

easy solution, mount the first fan behind the right heatsink column- between the two columns and then the last fan at the back of the left (last) column - so both fans are pulling through the Heatsink towers . should allow you to see our ram

might have to get rid of the rear exit fan though

Do you think i have enough space: https://imgur.com/a/FVoqK? :D
