Hey Guys, I have looked and looked, but so many sites just dont give enough info on this particular spec.

Also I'm not 100% sure this is possible for ati cards.

I want a mobo with 2x16 PCIe running at 2x16 when in xfire.

My not poss doubt was do ati cards use full 16x bandwidth in xfire.

Obviously I know the nvida chipset if I wanted sli, but as I been told can't xfire on a nvida chipset thats out.

Suggestions welcome :)

Asus Blitz motherboards support dual 8x on P35 chipset.
Other than that, you would have to get the DFI RD580 board which supports dual 16x. However, the northbridge runs hot and apparantly has a tendency to die after 6 months.

Or just wait for X38 which supports dual 16x PCI-E 2.0.

Not sure about AMD boards, pretty sure they're all dual 8x (the ATI chipset ones). The next chipsets from ATI for AMD will be dual 16x (790X).

I think that you mean RD600 (RD580 is a chipset for AMD CPU mobos) but RD600 is dual x8 too as is Intel 975X.

X38 is due ~September

as above, RD580 is dual x16
