Looking for to upgrade an intel core2 e6300

I need a cheap processor and/or m/b upgrade, more than 2 cores would be nice and able to take my 4x2gb dimms. I can't remember what the memory type is, but obviously compatible with an e6300 m/b.

No overclocking, just a plain vanilla plug and play.

I would say under £200? It's mainly for running vmware and some light gaming so I'm more interested in more cores than absolute gaming speed.

Have you looked at OcUK's prebuilt overclocked bundles?

If you can stretch you budget by another £40 the Argon Tarbosaur looks good.
