Granted they are very different travel programmes, they all essentially show the same thing. A person, or a group of people travelling to the hot spots of the globe.

They are very well filmed and have some great presenters.

I have seen:

Idiot Abroad 1 & 2
Walking the Amazon
Long Way Down
Long Way Round
Alone in the Wilderness
Alone in the Wild (Canada with Ed)
By Any Means 1 & 2
Globe Trekker

Can anyone recommend any good programmes I may have missed?

Cheers.

Have you watched any of Michael Palin's travel series ie Full Circle, Pole to Pole etc? Highly recommended. Anything by Ray Mears as well.

I enjoyed Billy Connolly Route 66, it was just on ITV a few weeks ago. Its now moved onto Joanna Lumley in Greece.

I can't stand that guy, but I'll give it a go.

I have yes, everything Palin is excellent!

I'll have a look at Madventures, it does look quite good.

Thanks.

Yep I watched that, very good show although some of the presenters did not suit, eg that woman that accompanied Charlie boorman, she did my head in.
