Looking for ultra-gore gamess. (Any games with Soldier of Fortune-style damage modelling?)

Hey guys Im looking for some fun ultra-gore games :o

Finished both the Dead Spaces & also Fallout 3. F3 was fun because you could make the bad guys go *BLISH* when you opened up with a big weapon :D

Are there any new games (2009 and after) that have Soldier of Fortune-style damage modelling? Like blow off an arm, head etc lol lol. Is any games company brave enough to do that again even! :eek:

Also really bummed that Mortal Kombat was not released on PC. Its got some really good ultragore complete with MRI-style image of internal damage :(

Please list some gore-happy PC games thanks guys.
 
The Half-Life games are incredibly gory. SoF as you mentioned, Gears of War, Sniper Elite v2, Aliens vs Predator is quite gory, Ninja Gaiden is also extremely gory. Its hard to think right off the bat, NeverDead is probably up there as one of the goriest of all time. Quake is gory too. Erm, Dead Island needs no explanation :p. The Fallout series (1,2,3 New Vegas) is pretty gory, Team Fortress 2 is too. Prey has a fair bit, MadWorld could be considered gory but the art style makes it look strangely PG-13. Splatterhouse is a good one, Killing Floor, The Elder Scrolls have a fair bit of gore, decapitations etc. Condemned and Prototype are extremely gory, RAGE has a fair bit too. Left 4 Dead is considerably gory and so is Dead Space (obviously :p). The Darkness and Bulletstorm are another two to look at, if you can get your hands on a PS3 or own one, God of War has tons of gore. Manhunt and Postal are another two worth mentioning...

Although by far the most violent game is quite obviously; Mortal Kombat, the undisputed champion of gore! You can get it on PC, check Steam.

EDIT: No idea how I forgot Dead Rising! Definitely give that a look.

I can't speak for the others, but 3 is definately gory. In the words of Yahtzee: "Watching an enemy's body fall in one direction and their head fly in three others never gets old."
 
Dark Messiah is pretty gory. Think that was 2006 though. Darksiders isn't bad. Aforementioned Dead Spaces. Dragon Age has blood splatter which persists into the cut scenes.

Killing Floor I would assume is zombie splattery goodness. L4D1+2, Nation Red, Resident Evils and Zombie Driver all fall into that category. Regardless everyone should buy Nation Red because it is pretty damn good, albeit slightly repetitive.

I can't remember if Singularity was that gory but had some solid gun action.

Fallout 1,2 and Tactics are more gory than pretty much anything else you'll see today, critical kills would blow people in half, leaving just a pair of legs and a ribcage, and on top of that you could murder children in an equally brutal fashion.

These really don't do it justice at all, I've googled for about 10 minutes and haven't been able to find any truly gory shots, but picture it this way; each and every kill after you get the Bloody Mess perk in the old school Fallout games are about on par with Mortal Kombat fatalities.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas do have their fair share of gore though, but its more comical than anything else with some of the things that can happen, but if you want pure blood and guts you're definitely looking at the old ones.

Ahem brother, love how dynamic the blood was too, it wasn't just a case of kill x enemies and then Kratos' gets the bloodied texture, the blood actually flowed and covered him appropriately.

There was a game in development some years ago (remember playing the demo but not sure if it even saw the light of day in the end) called Vivisector: The Beast Within (or something to that effect) which was pretty gory, you literally shot chunks off your enemy and could hollow out their limbs :p
 
It's not post-2009, but Postal 2. I can't think of any other games where you can cover someone in petrol, throw a match at them, take a whizz on their burning corpse, decapitate them with a spade and kick the head for a dog to pick-up and bring back to you.

Jedi Outcast dismemberment mod allowed you to cut off any part of the body providing you had a lightsaber, combine that with the blood mod and it got pretty gory.
