Hi Chaps

I am looking for some advice on an upgrade path. I am not sure weather to go SLI or a new CPU

Motherboard - ConRoe 945G-DVI
Memory - 2gig DDR2 Dual Channel
CPU - E6300
GFX - Leadtech 8800GTX
PSU - Targan 480

I know that going SLI would mean a new PSU and also a new MB. I would like to hear from people that run SLI and also quad core CPU's so that I can get a understanding of what people think of their systems

My main PC use is gaming. Games I play are Eve-Online 99% of the time, WoW (yeah I know its only every now and then) Quake War, URT3 when it comes out (Beta at the moment) and other new.

Will I get the best benefit from a faster CPU or going SLi

So my questions are

Path 1. Go the SLI path

New MB - which one
New PSU - which one

Path 2. New CPU
New CPU (Intel) & which one and would a new MB be a good idea too.

Thanks in advanced for any help.

PS I am not looking or your ideal/dream setup

I would suggest sticking with what you have until the games you play begin to tax your PC. If anything, I would expect your CPU to struggle before your vid card but then again, it depends on what games you play in the future.

Hi, nothing is worth changing now. You should try ocing your cpu a little bit.

The only time worth changing is jan/feb 2008 :)

Also what rez are you gameing at? For now have ago at overclocking your CPU (if you know what you are doing :P) you should be able to hit 3Ghz no problem that will help games that are cpu limited.

If you are running games at a very high rez overclock your graphics card to ultra specs maybe (again if you know what you are doing :P) have fun :D

Thanks. I have done some overclocking in the past so I might give it a go again..

As for GFX overclocking whats the best too to use now?
