...But i need some help with the parts for it from the pro's, so i came here.
In short i am looking to spend £650 (max) on a PC that will run BF3 and Skyrim on high settings without a problem.
I already have my monitor, KB&M and the optical drive.
Can someone more tech savy than me do me a little mock up for this?

Awesome, i have a rough idea now xD

only thing is... i have a Win7 disk i bought for my first ever build, and i used the code on that build, would it be best to buy another for like £89 or is there anything i can do for free there if you get me? (didn't see anything regarding this subject in the rules, i am wrong please let me know)

Many thanks for the help so far.

If you are not using your old build then you can get the licence transferred over to your new PC, you will have to phone Microsoft and activate it over the phone. You could also try using the Windows 8 preview for free that you can download from Microsoft and then buy the full version it when it is released.

7850 is a major step up from a 6850, despite the names which would suggest a small upgrade. If you can affor that, then go for it.

Tomorrow lunchtime, the offers will change. It is very likely that that sapphire would not be on offer anymore, same for the Sapphire 6950 which is also a great option. Thus putting your budget up by maybe £20.

2500K or 3570K, if you can get a 3570K, then do it. Even run on the stock cooler for a while. The 2500K is a great CPU if you are looking to save £15-£20.

I like the Z77-D3H a lot better than the G43 or the Z77-DS3H. It's got overclocking potential and everything you'd need. It's well reviewed.

Gigabyte and MSI have UK RMA, something to consider as well.

Re-use your OS if you can. You may need to call microsoft support if you have authentication problems. You can also go for the free Win 8 beta.

That looks good. Get the Samsung 830. Reliability and manufacturer trust would be my top priority for a SSD.

You will need around 40GB for the OS, and various bits and bobs. You can tab on 60-70GB for the rest.

650W is a little bit OTT, but fair enough.

I have changed it to the samsung now ( i dont really understand oll of the SSD talk could you explain if possible?)
And i have a 600W corsair PSU in my current build would that be advisable to use?

SSDs are just like hard drive, smaller capacity, much faster. Samsung manufactures SSDs for OEMs (Apple, Dell, HP), they have a good reliability track record, and good support. Plus the 830 is a quick drive.

There's not much to it otherwise, without going technical.

What unit? CX600? GS600? I'd say you'll be OK. Even more OK with a HD7850 (very efficient card) since it uses less power than a 6950, while still being as fast, if quicker (especially overclocked).

Good tutorial videos.

Look at the SSD part, setting the SATA mode to AHCI in the BIOS to get the most out of the SSD (AHCI also works on HDDs and optical drives, so basically, always set to AHCI).

If you are worried about SSDs, just get a hard drive.

The SSD will speed up the loading times of things that are installed on it. As an example it used to take 45 secs to a minuet to boot up my PC with a conventional hardrive, my PC with an SSD takes less than 25 secs from pressing the power button to having Google Chrome up and ready to go. If you are gaming on BF3 they will load up the maps much quicker, I'm normally one of the first to get into new maps.

How old is that PSU, If it has the correct type of connector than it should work fine.

oliver, it is a CX600 builder series

And thanks firefly ><

Wont be buying and building for a month from now, i just wanted everything clear so i don't balls up is all, in that time i will look for that GPU running cheaper and snatch one up when i see it. thanks :)
