Hi, looking to build a new PC from scratch soon and want to make as sure as possible that it is a silent-running PC. I don't want to compromise on performance, but I don't want it to sound like the rocket machine Athlon 3500 that I currently have.
Assuming I won't be waiting for the new Penryns and Nvidia 9800 that are out in the next few months, I'll be going for a Q6600 and some 8800.
What cases, coolers and sound proofing is there available for the above that would help me in my quest for silence? I have a 6800GT in my parp PC at the moment which is easily the loudest thing in it, so is there a replacement for the 8800 cooler? Is it even needed?
