Hi guys, I'm looking to build a portable computer to be used to run interactive 3d installations. It's going to be driving an Oculus rift DK2, potentially the CV1, so potentially needing to drive 1440p graphics (not crysis 3, but test demos etc.).

I've never built a small form factor pc before so feeling a bit at sea here. Is this even doable? I'd know what to go for in a tower, nippy i5, decent GPU etc.
Is this feasible in a small form factor?

No windows required. Budget £600-900

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the replies guys.

The machine is for my girlfriend who will be moving it around a fair bit, hence the size/weight limitations.

Computer will mainly be running self coded applications, using a Kinect / Leap Motion / Oculus Rift. Chances are it's not going to push the GPU as hard as current gen gaming but definitely would like the flexibility to be able to push it pretty hard.

That's an interesting build Doomedspeed, what GPU would you recommend for perhaps £50 less or is £250 about what you have to drop on a little GPU for it to have the grunt?

Also another other case recommendations which look a bit more professional (no go faster lights and stripes - it's not that bad but looks a bit too gamey really)?

Thanks for all the help!
