Looking to build pc.

Hello there,
Now I really want to play skyrim, however at the moment my pc isn't quite up to standard (very old

). If possible could I have a pretty good pc that could run skyrim at high for around £600? Any help would be lovely and much appreciated.
On a side note, my father who only uses word and browses the internet needs a new pc? Can anyone make a cheap ish one just for word, excel and internet browsing?

Do you have any sata drives that can be used from your old PC?

will this just be for the case and everything inside, or will you need peripherals/monitor/OS as well?

also, do are the hard drives and DVD drives of your old PC IDE or SATA? if they are SATA then i would definitely recycle them because you'll save yourself ~£100

Thats two builds, one without OS and one with.

The without OS build has a better fatser quad core cpu that can also be overclocked because its a "K" variant.

So if you can source Win7 cheaply through the student program then awesome.

The only student deals I can find on Windows 7 are for upgrade editions. Where can you get a discounted full license?

My only problem with that build is 320 gb. You don't know how quick I am going to fill that with all my games etc.

How much would a reasonable 1tb cost?

The last spec with a 1Tb drive instead of the 320BG and removing Win7 as you can source it cheaper is £559

Also could you put together a shopping list for my dad if possible? (He needs it just for web browsing and doing work :L)

It can indeed play modern games at good resolution (1080p)

What does your dad need and how much money?

My Dad literally needs a new pc ( much like me) preferably pre-built but as cheap as possible, all he does is word process etc.
