Hi,

Been looking at upgrading to the 980 Ti this past week and my monitor hopefully within 2 months (waiting for new ROG IPS).

I want a quiet, cool and relaible 980 Ti but can't decide between.

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+ 6GB with backplate

or

MSI GeForce GTX 980Ti Gaming 6144MB

EVGA is a little cheaper.

Upgrading from R9 290 (non x)

Many Thanks

Evga is as quiet (if not quieter according to reviews), but you'll probably get more from the MSI, either at stock or if you overclock.

The value is actually great for an high end card.

I'm not a 980TI Owner but I did have the 970 version of the MSI Twin Frozer and it was insanely quiet and I was extremely happy with it.

Another vote for the MSI card. Even at 100% fan speed they are pretty quiet compared to some other coolers. My MSI 980 Ti 6G at 100% fan speed sounded like my Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 at 60% fan speed that I returned. Gave me a headache.

At around 60% I really struggle to hear the MSI card over my case fans. MSI has really made a fantastic cooler. Never heard a quieter card.

The quietness was the deciding factor when i bought since they can all be clocked basically the same, so another Msi vote here.
