Looking to buy joystick for FSX - force feedback worth it?

I found the FF in FS9/FSX to be extremely simple and unrealistic. Therefore when I upgraded, I went for a joystick without.

I currently have the Thrustmaster T16000m and it's great. Avoid the Saitek ones, they use rubbish sensors that wear out easily, as well as not being totally accurate.

I've a friend who loves his MS FF Sidewinder for gliding in FSX, but he's bought some additional software (not sure but it might be called ForceFS) that does proper trim forces. Personally I'd stick to the traditional non-FF joysticks. You'll get more buttons/gizmos on a plain joystick for the money.

If you've not got, or intend to get, rudder pedals I'd recommend you get a joystick with a twist action on the stick for manual rudder control. Don't forget you also want a control for throttle.
