So I am looking to get a new pc built.

The one I have at the moment is nearly 5 years old except the GFX Card, The specs are

I7 920 Oc to 3.6
12GB DDR3 GSkill
2TB HDD (Raid)
GTX680 MSI Lightning
P6T Deluxe V2 Mobo

I am looking to buy the new Ivy E 6 Core CPU with the x79 mobo and I want a 780 TI (Windforce is a plus) Win7 or 8.1 with SSD. Price Budget range around £1600 if can do less without losing performance is good.

I'd keep going with that video card until GTX 780Ti prices come down. Meantime, you can pack more power into other components right now with the money you save on that.

Do you have anything which you are looking to keep?
Case/PSU/HDD's?

What is the PC being used for?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780Ti WindForce 3x OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £599.99
1 x Intel 4930K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge-E) Socket LGA2011 Processor - Retail (BX80633I74930K) £439.99
1 x Gigabyte X79-UD3 Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard £169.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £146.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060009-WW) £99.95
Total : £1,468.91 (includes shipping : £10.00).

You could keep your 680 and wait for the 780Ti prices to drop before getting one!

Hey thanks for the reply guys.

I do not like my case it is a coolmaster cosmo and it is too heavy! My PSU is a Corsair Ethuasist TX 850W Bronze non modular its about a year old and no my hdd is 5 years and they are getting slow now.

If that is raid striped, maybe buy a 2tb drive, use the 2 1tb as a spanned volume for backup. Then acquire an SSD
