Looking to get Left 4 Dead 2 Server

Thinking of renting a L4D 2 server since this is an awesome game, but need to know who is best to get it off? I need certain things such as FTP access etc.

I had a Left 4 Dead server with multiplay and it was very good except there was no FTP access to mod the server.cfg and add plugins etc.

Just wondering if anyone knows any good reliable hosts within the UK, one that will also provide good pings of course, was thinking of INX gaming servers?

Great host for me.

I have a Killing Floor and TF2 server with them and have no complaints.

They also give you a server to upload custom maps etc via FTP.

Really? Ive heard of e-frag before, they look good, Do they provide full and i mean FULL FTP access to the server so you can upload custom campaigns, maps and mod the server.cfg?

Also frenchtart, do you have any idear who your friend is with? I look forward to his reply.

Pretty sure he has full FTP access - he can upload custom maps, custom motd files, sourcemod, etc.

Thats really good its what i need. Want to upload sourcemod as well, and custom campaigns if there are any. Think i might give Gameservers a go, just hope its the right choice.

Yes, Frenchtart is absolutely right, INX though the technical support is the best, their servers go down/lag for no reason far more often than Gameservers do in my experience.

Gameservers aren't as quick at replying to problems, but they don't seem to get them as often and are cheaper anyway. Please note that you do pay in $s though, which isn't really a problem for me, just a word of warning. Make sure you choose a UK or Europe based server if you are in Europe however otherwise your pings will be sky high.

Both INX and Gameservers (and GTX Gaming, look them up) give full ftp access. You don't get console access on many providers, but that would be a security hazard for them. You can start/stop/restart your servers often by the use of web buttons.

Ive just played on one of your L4D2 servers then. I must say it was really good, great pings, no lag etc. Was really fun as most servers you connect to from lobby are half way across the world and pings are high.

Thinking of Gameservers now, but what are GTX like? Just taking a look at them now, how good are they compared to gameservers?

E-Frag have FULL FTP Access and have responded to emails very quickly, even if late in the evening.

Personally, I cannot fault them.
