Looking to OC for the first time....

So, I had my latest machine custom built, but am really looking to get into this hobby and tinker/build for myself.

I'd like to dip my toe into the water with overclocking, but even the YouTube videos I've seen seem a bit beyond me.

I wonder if someone might be kind enough to give me a rough guide as to the benefits and how I'd begin.

My CPU is an i7 9700k on an ASUS Z390 Gaming Mobo and an MSI 2080Ti. Running 16GB of g. skill Trident Z memory.

Playing games such as control, RDR 2, AC: Odyssey.

Have you tried a quick overclocking guide and follow it step by step.

Have you got all the programmes to test and monitor an overclock ?

Watch on your phone do one step pause and complete next step pause and complete.

After completion reboot and test.
