Im looking to try get one last kick out of my machine before I buy a new one, Im looking to overclock my E6400 (2.13Ghz) on stock cooling. My main issues are:
1) Im running an 8800GTS 512MB which always runs hot and refuses to use the fans it has effectively. This causes the cpu to heat up considerably. I have ntune and have to manually set the fan speed. This resets on when the comp is restarted, is there a way to set the fan speed on them permanently ?
2) Is there a way to manually set the CPU fan speed permanently ?
(I've tried speedfan unfortunately it either doesnt work correctly or im not using it right)
Im not going for any records im hoping i can get 2.5/6 on stock cooling.
This is my first attempt at overclocking and any advice would be appreciated, even more if you are familiar with the Asus P5NSLI mobo.
