Hi guys, you helped me last time get my amd 1.8ghz to 3.1ghz so im coming back here
Basically i have the following set up. Its fairly basic but im upgrading later this year.
Asrock 4core Dual Vsta Board
2.66ghz Intel C2D
2 Gb Crucial Ram 4200
nvidia 7600GS
I also have an after stock cooler in which is an asus square, giant thing, really cools the rig down.
Basically by upping the fsb and nothing else i ahve reached 3.22ghz stable, with tests ect,
Im not looking to get much more than that but i havnt tried.
My bottleneck is the fack i cannot adjust my vcore voltage, i don't think. Im willing to do the pencil mod ect though if needed and im a dab hand with the soldering iron so any mods or anything let me know
The bios looks like this:
Advanced Menu:
CPU Config
Chipset Config
ACPI Config
IDE Config
PCIPnP Config
Floopy Config
SuperIO Config
USB Config
The Cpu Config has the following:
Overclock Mode:
1) Auto
2) PCIE Async
3) PCIE Sync
Cpu Frequency : 100
PCIE Frequency: 100
Spread Spectrum : Auto
Boot failure guard: Enabled
Ratio Actual Value: 20
Max CPUID Value limit: Disabled
No-Execute memory protection: Disabled
Chipset Config has these options:
DRAM Frequency : AUTO
Flexibility Option: Disabled
DRAM CAS# Latency: AUTO
DRAM Bank interleave: AUTO
Precharge to active(TRP): AUTO
Active to Precharge (Tras): AUTO
Active to CMD(Trcd): AUTO
REF to ACT/REF to REF (Trfc): AUTO
ACT(0) to ACT(1) (Trrd) : AUTO
Read to precharge (Trtp): AUTO
Write to read CMD (Twtr): AUTO
Write recovery time(Twr): AUTO
DRAM BUS selection: AUTO
DRAM Command rate: 2T Command
Then
> Advanced Memory Configuration
> Advanced Host Configuration
Thats what i thought mattered, if you need anything else let me know. I know my batch on chips specifically have been known to overclock well but the board im using is a simple cheap board.
If possible i would like to overclock the cpu stable, gpu and ram but whatever you guys can do ill be happy with
Cheers Shr3k
