Looking to replace Desktop

So yeah, im looking to replace my desktop with a gaming laptop.

Main reason is I still want to connect it to my TV and play some games but my Partner also wants it to be portable so she can use it for her "Craft" stuff also.

"My current PC specs are :

ProcessorIntel(R) Core(TM) i5-8600 CPU @ 3.10GHz

Video CardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

RAM : 16 GB"

would it be possible to get something better as a laptop for around £800?

Something with 16gb ram and a 3060 is doable for a 1k-ish.
At about 800ish you get something about half as good for gaming, like that ^

Edit: The popular ones are about 1300.

So I've had a look about and think I can push to £900 and I've seen this one

Pretty much.
The other thing you could do is be a savvy shopper, looking out for deals, end of line, black friday, etc.

Managed to get it for just over £900

There you go. That'll significantly outperform your old desktop 1060.
